Service Pricing: Fixed, Recurring, and Unit-Based Options

Configure one-time or recurring billing with fixed, tiered, or unit-based pricing for every service you sell in GrowCRM Products & Services.

The Pricing tab is where you define exactly how much customers pay and how often. GrowCRM’s pricing model is built around two choices you make in sequence: the Billing Type (how often the customer is charged) and the Price Type (how the charge amount is calculated). The combination you choose determines which additional fields appear below, so the form stays focused on only what you need.

Step 1 — Choose a billing type

Billing Type	Behaviour
Onetime Payment	The customer pays a single charge at checkout. No further billing occurs.
Recurring Payment (Subscription)	The customer is billed on a repeating schedule you define. Billing continues until the customer or you cancels the subscription.

Step 2 — Choose a price type

Price Type	Behaviour
Single Fixed Price	One price with no variation. The customer sees a single amount and cannot adjust it.
Multiple Fixed Prices	Two or more named price tiers (e.g. “Basic”, “Standard”, “Premium”). The customer selects one tier. The checkout listing always shows the lowest tier as the starting price.
Unit Price	A price per unit of work (e.g. per word, per page, per hour). The customer enters a quantity — or is defaulted to one you set — and the total is calculated automatically.

Additional fields by combination

Unit Price fields

When you select Unit Price, three extra fields appear regardless of whether the service is one-time or recurring.

Field	Description
Unit Name	The label for a single unit, shown to the customer (e.g. “Word”, “Page”, “Hour”).
Default Quantity	The quantity pre-filled at checkout. The customer can change it within the allowed range.
Minimum Quantity	The lowest quantity the customer is permitted to order.
Maximum Quantity	The highest quantity the customer is permitted to order. Leave blank to allow an unlimited upper bound.

Recurring Payment fields

When you select Recurring Payment, two scheduling fields and an optional setup fee appear for every price (or price tier).

Field	Description
Billing Cycle	The unit of time between charges: Week, Month, or Year.
Recurring Interval	How many billing cycles pass between each charge. For example, Billing Cycle = Month and Recurring Interval = 2 means the customer is billed every two months.
Service has a setup fee	Toggle this on to charge an additional one-time fee alongside the very first payment. Enter the setup fee amount in the field that appears.

Multiple Fixed Prices

When you choose Multiple Fixed Prices, each tier is configured independently. This lets you offer a “Basic” plan billed monthly and a “Premium” plan billed annually, for example, all within a single service.

1. Configure your first tier

   Enter the Amount and Name for the first price tier. If the service is recurring, also set its Billing Cycle, Recurring Interval, and Setup Fee (if applicable).

2. Add more tiers

   Click Add Another Price to append a new tier. Repeat for as many tiers as you need.

3. Review checkout display

   GrowCRM automatically displays the lowest price tier as the “starting from” price on checkout listing pages. Make sure your tiers are named clearly so customers understand the difference.

Each price tier in a Multiple Fixed Prices service can have its own billing cycle and setup fee when the service is recurring. This means a single service can offer a monthly Basic plan and an annual Premium plan simultaneously.

If you are selling a service where clients order different volumes each time — like copywriting charged per word — use Unit Price with a sensible default quantity so customers don’t have to start from zero.
